Frequently Asked Questions
Is converting images to PDF online safe — do my photos get uploaded?
No. Passport scans, ID copies, receipts, and other sensitive photos never leave your browser. This converter embeds images into a PDF with pdf-lib entirely in local memory — there is no upload endpoint, cloud processing, or remote storage. You get an online-style workflow with on-device privacy.
Which image formats can I convert?
JPG/JPEG, PNG, and WebP are supported. JPEG and PNG are embedded directly with pdf-lib’s embedJpg / embedPng APIs. WebP is converted in your browser via an HTML canvas to a PNG or JPEG buffer first, then embedded the same way — so you don’t need a separate converter for modern phone screenshots.
How do page size and margin settings work?
Fit to Image Size makes each PDF page match that image’s pixel dimensions (minus any margin). A4 Portrait and A4 Landscape place each image on a standard A4 page, scaled to fit while preserving aspect ratio. Margin options are No Margin, Small (10pt), and Large (20pt) — the margin shrinks the drawable area so photos aren’t glued to the page edge.
Can I change the order of images before converting?
Yes. After upload, thumbnails appear in a reorderable grid. Drag items or use the arrow controls to set the exact page order, and remove any image you don’t want. Convert & Download then builds one multi-page PDF in that sequence — still entirely in your browser.

Convert Images to PDF Privately — Scans & IDs Never Leave Your Device
Passport pages, government ID photocopies, receipts, and phone scans are exactly the kind of images people rush into an “online JPG to PDF” converter — and exactly the kind of files that should never sit on a stranger’s server. This Image(s) to PDF Converter keeps every byte local. Photos are read in your browser, embedded with pdf-lib ( embedJpg / embedPng, with canvas conversion for WebP), and downloaded as a single PDF without an upload step, processing queue, or cloud copy.
Drop multiple JPG, PNG, or WebP files, reorder the thumbnail grid so pages match the sequence you need, then choose Fit to Image Size or a standard A4 layout with optional margins. Whether you are assembling a visa packet, expense report, or school form attachment, the pipeline stays in device memory — so personally identifiable scans are not exposed to third-party storage.
